Is it just me, or were online services buttery smooth today?
It may be no surprise that I’m a huge fan of EHG. I’ve definitely been very open about that, and I’ll likely be posting about why I love EHG soon. I do, however, form all of my opinions on data and ensure I’m not coming from a perspective of emotion. Therefore, I understand things have been rocky and have been worried about Last Epoch’s launch.
I played over the weekend, and I did have a few moments of frustration when I got kicked out or could not login. I vehemently advocate for everyone’s ability to critique incidents and help spark healthy dialogue surrounding them. Incidents should be dissected and leveraged as opportunities for immense growth — growth which is not possible without sheer honesty and introspection.
All that soapbox monologuing in consideration, today felt like a breath of fresh air! I was able to seamlessly fast travel and switch between characters. I tried this morning to great success. I played just a bit on my lunch break, and experienced yet another positive experience! Feeling perhaps greedy, I tested the waters again after work and to my utter delight was greeted with lollipops and unicorns.
All I have to say (because I’m not going to say I told you so, even though I did) is EHG is really putting in the work and it shows. I am utterly delighted to see how well their solutions are working, and I revel in the thought of them monitoring services with a sigh of relief right now.
EHG, if you see this, well done! I hope your staff can take a well deserved break when the dust settles, as you all most certainly deserve it. Thank you for your hard work, and your passion for your craft. I am having a blast playing, which has not happened for quite some time.
To the players: I hope this serves as a demonstration of EHG’s dedication, and helps you to refrain from attacking them when things go awry. I know a lot of you were telling others to chill in chat, and I appreciate that. However, those who needed to be told to chill should really take this as an indicator that trust is well-placed with EHG. They are dedicated, and have proven their devotion to us players. Let’s cut them some slack next time, yeah?
